Hermosa manufactured all of the signing materials including the ground mounted traffic signs, posts and all of the overhead sign structures and sign panels for this project.
Most of the overhead sign structures were supported with steel bridge outriggers which required special details to accommodate the bridge slope and skew and to provide the proper angle for the overhead sign panels.
The Alexander Hamilton Bridge connects the Trans Manhattan Expressway with the Cross Bronx Expressway and was the largest single project in the history of the NYSDOT.
